Founder Chairman
Veeramachineni Madhusudhan Rao worked with popular directors L V Prasad and K S Prakash Rao before he got his first break as a director for Sathi Tulasi in 1959. He has in all directed 72 films and received the prestigious Raghupathi Venkaiah Naidu award from the Government of Andhra Pradesh in 1997 for his contribution to Telugu cinema. He directed several super hit films like Aradhana, Raktha Sambandham, Antastulu, Veerabhimanyu, Gudi Gantalu, Kalyana Mandapam, Edureetha, Manushulu Marali and many more and hence popularly called "Victory" Madhusudan Rao. He introduced actor Nagarjuna to Tollywood through the film 'Vikram'. He also introduced Jagapathi Babu and Suresh to the silver screen. In 1965 He has received the National Film Award for directing Antastulu. He directed 4 Hindi films.
Madhu Film and TV Institute of Acting, Hyderabad was inaugurated in 1983 by Viswavikyata Nata Sarvabouma Padma Shri Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. The Institute has successfully completed 31 years and has trained above 3000 students through 40 batches in Acting & Direction. Madhu Film Institute is the one and only Institute(We have no branches) that continues to offer Professional and Practical training in Film making courses.
